Commercial & Industrial Asphalt

Asphalt car parks, industrial paving, access roads and resurfacing across Moreton Bay, Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast.

Commercial Asphalt Paving Built Around Your Site’s Requirements

A commercial car park, delivery access road and industrial yard all have different paving requirements. Vehicle weight, traffic movements, surface levels and drainage affect how the pavement needs to be constructed. Areas used by trucks and heavy equipment may also require more substantial preparation than standard car parking spaces.

A One Asphalt provides commercial and industrial asphalt paving across Moreton Bay, Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast. With over 30 years of experience in asphalt construction and earthworks, we undertake excavation, road base construction, drainage and hot mix asphalt surfacing for new developments and existing commercial properties.

Commercial Car Parks & Access Roads

A One Asphalt constructs asphalt car parks and access roads for shopping centres, schools, business premises and other commercial properties. We undertake new pavement construction, extensions and upgrades to existing parking and access areas.

Commercial asphalt paving requires careful consideration of vehicle circulation, entry and exit points, parking layouts and drainage. Work can include removing existing surfaces, excavation, compacted road base construction and hot mix asphalt paving.

Where new asphalt meets existing roads, kerbs, footpaths or drainage infrastructure, surface levels and connections need to be considered as part of the construction.

Industrial Asphalt Paving, Resurfacing & Repairs

Industrial properties need paved surfaces that suit the vehicles and equipment using them. A One Asphalt undertakes asphalt construction for industrial access roads, warehouse approaches, vehicle circulation areas and suitable yard surfaces.

We also provide commercial asphalt resurfacing and repairs for worn car parks, damaged access roads and deteriorating pavement. This includes pothole repairs, asphalt patching, broken edges and uneven sections.

Where the existing pavement remains structurally sound, an asphalt overlay may be suitable. If damage extends into the supporting road base, affected sections may require removal and reconstruction before new asphalt is laid.

Planning Asphalt Works at Your Commercial Property?

Whether you’re preparing a new development, upgrading a car park or dealing with damaged pavement, understanding the site and how it operates is an important starting point.

Vehicle access, deliveries, existing surfaces and drainage can all influence the work required and its cost.

Tell Brett where the property is, what needs paving and how the area is used. We’ll discuss your requirements and the next steps towards a quote.

Our Commercial Asphalt Paving Process

1. Site Assessment & Quote

We discuss the proposed paving area, existing surface conditions, vehicle use and site access. An inspection may be required to assess the pavement and establish the work needed before preparing a quote.

2. Earthworks & Base Preparation

Depending on the project, preparation can involve removing existing pavement, excavation, grading and compacting road base. Surface levels, drainage and connections to surrounding paved areas are considered during this stage.

3. Asphalt Laying & Compaction

Hot mix asphalt is placed over the prepared pavement, spread to the required levels and compacted using suitable paving equipment. Asphalt selection and pavement requirements depend on the intended traffic and site conditions.

4. Final Checks & Completion

The completed pavement is checked for surface levels, edges and connections to surrounding areas. The asphalt must cool sufficiently before the paved area can be opened to traffic, with timing dependent on site conditions.

Frequently Asked Questions

Commercial asphalt paving costs depend on the size of the area, ground conditions, excavation, road base requirements, drainage, asphalt quantities and site access.

A new car park requiring full pavement construction will have different costs from resurfacing an existing asphalt area. Industrial pavements used by heavy vehicles may also require different construction specifications.

A quote needs to account for the site and intended use.

Yes, where the existing pavement is suitable for an asphalt overlay.

Resurfacing involves placing new asphalt over an existing surface, but the condition of the pavement and supporting road base needs consideration first.

Potholes, widespread cracking, pavement movement or drainage problems may indicate that repairs or reconstruction are required rather than resurfacing alone.

Asphalt can be used for industrial access roads, loading approaches and other paved areas used by commercial vehicles.

However, the pavement needs to suit the expected vehicle loads, traffic frequency and movements. Heavy vehicles, repeated turning and stationary loads place different demands on asphalt compared with ordinary passenger vehicle traffic.

The suitability of asphalt and the required pavement construction depend on how the area will be used.

The timeframe depends on the paved area, site conditions and the amount of preparation required.

A resurfacing project on a suitable existing pavement may involve less work than constructing a new car park or industrial access road that requires excavation, drainage and road base construction.

Weather, access restrictions and the need to coordinate around site operations can also affect the schedule.

Yes. Localised asphalt repairs may be suitable for isolated potholes, damaged edges and sections of failed pavement.

The repair method depends on the extent of the damage and the condition of the material beneath it. Some areas may only need localised pavement repairs, while widespread deterioration or failed road base can require more extensive reconstruction.

An assessment of the existing surface helps determine the appropriate work.
